Since the age of three, the classroom has always been one of my favorite places to be.  And like most academics, I am addicted to learning. When I discovered that you could use mathematics to understand the natural world and observe predictions based on equations, I wanted to be a scientist. After graduating with a B.S. and M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Idaho and teaching general chemistry at the college level, I wanted to be a professor. While completing my Ph.D. in physical chemistry at Georgia Institute of Technology, I discovered the joy of modeling complex systems using computer simulations.

For the past 19 years, I have taught chemistry at a variety of different institutions using an active, guided-inquiry learning approach (POGIL) in my courses. Simultaneously, I have always been intrigued by the God revealed through the words of the Bible. While I continue to evolve and pursue new endeavors, this site embodies a time capsule of thoughts seeking to integrate two seemingly disparate worlds that have shaped my identity.
